We are currently seeking an experienced Lead Mendix Developer to join a leading Energy client of ours on a remote basis. This exciting opportunity will involve building out the businesses Mendix factory at a Nuclear Power Plant site in Switzerland, where you will be instrumental in building apps, architectures and installing best practices within a team of 7 engineers.  Our client is looking for a “can do” type of individual, who is able to work independently to solve complex challenges without direct supervision. The role will require someone who is able to co-lead a team of developers, as well as be hands-on themselves and also help scale Mendix across the business as part of this role.

The role requires English language skills, and candidates to be Europe based for timezone purposes.

Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Lead end-to-end development of applications using the Mendix low-code platform.
  • Architect scalable solutions, ensuring best practices in application performance, security, and maintainability.
  • Manage and mentor a team of Mendix developers, ensuring quality code, timely delivery, and skill development.
  • Stay updated on the latest Mendix features, plugins, and industry best practices
  • Conduct code reviews, establish development standards, and ensure adherence to Mendix and company guidelines.
 
Desirable Requirements:
 
  • Strong background in Mendix
  • Experience with Java and Javascript would be beneficial
  • Experience leading a team of developers
  • Azure experience would be a plus but not required
 
The role offers the flexibility of a remote working arrangement and is a 5 month contract with possibility of extension.
