We are on the hunt for an experienced Director of Data to own the entire data engineering function of one of the largest Asset Management firms in the Boston Area. You'll be responsible for leading the team and executing the data strategy from a technical perspective. 

What we need from you - 
-Proven leadership experience of leading data engineering teams - 4+ years
-Excellent knowledge of both JVM and Python languages for data engineering. 
-Deep understanding of modern data engineering best practices and standards. 
-AWS wizardry - a deep understanding of both AWS cloud infrastructure and it's data stack. 
-Expertise in data modelling and management 
-Experience with real-time data pipelines - how to construct them and ensure data integrity.
-Hands on experience of design and implementation of data lakes and wearhouses. 
-Machine learning fundamentals - MLOps in particular. 

Nice to haves - 
-Experience with ETL tooling like Talend. 
-Experience with Snowflake/DataBricks

Role specifics - 
Hybrid from central Boston - 3 days a week in office.
