SOC Project Manager (Current DV Clearance)
Location: Corsham - 5 days onsite
Duration: 6 months
Rate: £negotiable (inside IR35)
Role description
The SOC Project Manager will act as the primary point of contact for our client and coordinate delivery of work undertaken by 4 teams deployed in our client's organisation. The SOC Project Manager will be comfortable using agile delivery methods to address our client's priorities and requirements as they evolve and in a way that aligns with Maturity Indicator Level 3 (MIL3) in the Cybersecurity Capability Maturity Model (C2M2).
Important considerations for the role
- Demonstrable delivery experience centred on Agile Programme Management
- Demonstrable experience of being the primary point of contact between clients and delivery teams
- Demonstrable experience of work relating to Security Operations Centres in the military domain
- Knowledge of Cybersecurity Capability Maturity Model (C2M2) & NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF)
- Experience of Security Operations Centres operating within the Military domain
Important Knowledge
- C2M2, NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, NIST 800-172, ISO
- Current market and emerging leaders in data analytical and SIEM platforms.
- Network security implementations (e.g host-based IDS, IPS), including their function & placement
- Cyber defence and information security policies, procedures, and regulations
- Network security architecture concepts, including topology, protocols, components, and principles.
Important skills and experience:
- Agile / scaled Agile delivery
- Programme management
- Resource management
- Providing technical and service leadership to junior SOC Engineers (mentoring/coaching)
- Proven experience of writing documentation for clients in Defence or wider-HMG
- Cyber (e.g CISM / CISSP)
