Cloud Engineer – HIRING ASAP

Start date: ASAP
Duration: 6 Months
Location: 1 week in the Galway office & rest of the month working from home
Rate: €450-€475 per day

As a Principal Cloud Engineer, you will work within the Artifact Management Squad. They are a diverse, multi-functional team comprised of highly upbeat and motivated technologists who believe in the power of innovation and constant teamwork. The team blends technology & business expertise with a passion for exploring new technologies while working in an open and transparent way. They are passionate about opensource contribution, sharing their expertise and knowledge with the engineering community while embracing a continuous learning approach supported by a dedicated learning day each week.

Key Skills:
  • Strong Unix/Linux knowledge and experience in configuring and deploying applications in a public cloud like AWS.
  • Hands on experience creating and implementing applications with 2 or more programming languages (Python, Java, Groovy, Go, Unix Shell scripting, JSON etc.)
  • Experience deploying and operating the following platforms GitHub & Jenkins.
  • Exposure to JFrog Artifactory and Xray platforms will be an advantage.
  • Strong understanding and practical experience with implementing Infrastructure as Code, specifically Terraform and/or OpenTofu.
  • Passionate about working in a DevOps environment.
  • Experience in mentoring and guiding software engineers in an agile environment.
  • Very strong technical capability and passionate about learning new technologies and cloud trends.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Experience and willingness to work in globally distributed teams.
