In this pivotal role, you'll join the Postgres and Distributed Database Platform Squad as a Principal Cloud Data Automation Engineer, specialising in deploying and migrating PostgreSQL and Distributed SQL Databases like CockroachDB and YugabyteDB across AWS and Azure. This role is ideal for tech-savvy professionals eager to create scalable, automated solutions in public cloud environments.

What You’ll Do:
- Serve as the go-to expert for automating PostgreSQL and Distributed SQL database solutions.
- Develop and refine database-as-a-service pipelines for multi-cloud environments.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and engineers to ensure efficient, secure cloud database deployments.
- Implement best practices in provisioning, encryption, security, and data protection.
- What You Bring to the Team:
- Expertise in AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure engineering.
- Proficiency with tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, Vault, and scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Shell Scripting).
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline automation tools such as Jenkins.
- Knowledge of relational and distributed SQL database operations.
- Strong understanding of DevOps, infrastructure-as-code concepts, and Agile methodologies.
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills, with a track record of working in collaborative, high-performing teams.
