My client is searching for an experienced Technical Designer to take the lead in designing and developing robust infrastructure solutions while maintaining the highest standards of quality, governance, and performance.

Responsibilities Include:

• Creating high-level and detailed infrastructure designs that are scalable and secure.
• Assessing infrastructure costs to ensure solutions align with project budgets.
• Developing roadmaps, reusable design patterns, and standard operating environments for hardware and software.
• Designing operational models and use cases to implement new technologies effectively.
• Providing governance to ensure solutions adhere to architectural strategies and long-term roadmaps.
• Offering expert consultation to projects, supporting cost estimations, impact analyses, and high-level designs.

Skills Required:

• Deep understanding of infrastructure design and architecture, as well as the ability to communicate complex ideas to stakeholders at all levels
• Experience working in a multi-disciplinary environment.
• Strong analytical skills to assess project costs and justify financial estimates.
• Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
• The ability to translate complex ideas into practical, well-documented designs.

Proven technical expertise across:

• Operating Systems: Windows Server, Red Hat Linux
• Networking Services: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory
• Databases: Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle
• Messaging/Collaboration Tools: Exchange, MS Teams, SharePoint/SharePoint Online
• Virtualisation: VMware ESXi
• Desktop Environments: Windows
• Cloud Platforms: Azure
