Senior Platform Engineer - FULLY REMOTE

Location: Remote
Rate: £475 per day inside ir35

Responsibilities

• Innovating, supporting, and maintaining the Bank's Red Hat server estate.
• Engineering, validating, implementing and quality assuring technical solutions.
• Supporting projects implementing new infrastructure into the datacentres
• Root cause analysis and remediation of issues
• Working closely with others to estimate work, manage domain scope, risks, and issues.
• Collaborating with internal and external parties to provide excellent customer service.

Skills:

• Excellent sys admin skills and experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux v6 upwards
• Experience in Satellite
• Experience in server implementation, maintenance, monitoring, and automation (Infrastructure as Code) with Ansible, AAP
• A developer mindset and scripting skills to match in languages such as Python, Bash, APIs, and data structures in JSON/YAML or other.
• VMware experience
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Engineering mindset able to challenge the status quo and automate manual processes to deliver additional value.
• Exceptional communication & teamwork skills
• Experience of Red Hat OpenShift, ARO, AKS.
• Experience of RHEL Patching best practices
• Experience of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tooling
• Experience working with third parties.
• Experience of working within an ITIL framework
