Position: Procurement Project Manager

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Length: 6 Months

Location: Basel, Switzerland

Rate: 40- 50 CHF Per Hour

Trust in Soda is working with a leading pharmaceutical client on the search for a procurement project manager,this position does not have direct reports but requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including Project Management, Procurement, Legal, QA, and Finance teams at both site and divisional levels.

Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing, assigning, and supporting the work of procurement staff as needed.
  • Leading project planning by defining scope, objectives, and deliverables, and developing schedules to meet established timelines.
  • Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the progress and success of projects.
  • Implementing risk management strategies to identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Managing project reporting cadence, updates, and stakeholder escalations.
  • Coordinating and supporting communications with internal and client stakeholders, ensuring a structured follow-up process to track progress, decisions, and changes.
  • Proactively addressing potential delays or issues by developing and executing action plans.
  • Creating reports, presentations, and project readouts.
  • Under general supervision, manages and negotiates multiple raw material supply contracts with external vendors.

Skills Required:

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities to convey ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Strong project management experience, with certification highly desirable, ideally in a client-facing capacity.
  • Familiarity with purchasing and invoicing principles, procedures, and terminology.
  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
  • Proficient in project management tools such as MS Project, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and other relevant planning and management software.
