My client is looking to build a team of Infrastructure Designers to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions, ensuring adherence to design standards, best practices, and providing expert consultancy on IT project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Crafting both high-level and detailed designs for our IT infrastructure.
• Evaluating infrastructure costs and proposing efficient solutions.
• Developing adoption roadmaps, reusable design patterns, and defining hardware/software environments (SOE).
• Creating operational models and use cases for new technologies.
• Governing design quality to ensure reliability and alignment with strategic goals.
• Offering technical consultancy during project estimations, covering resources, cost, and design impacts.

Skills required:

• A breadth of design experience in complex environments, ideally in financial services.
• Expertise in both agile and traditional delivery methods.
• A solid technical foundation in the following:
• Operating Systems: Windows Server, Red Hat Linux
• Networking & Services: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory
• Databases: Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle
• Collaboration Tools: MS Exchange, Teams, Skype for Business, SharePoint
• Virtualisation: VMWare ESXi
• Cloud Platforms: Office 365, Azure, AWS
• Confidence in justifying financial estimates for infrastructure projects.
• Experience in supporting architectural governance, bringing strong technical knowledge and sound decision-making.
• A passion for driving continuous improvement within IT infrastructure.
