Job Title: C# Engineer

Duration: 12 Months
Daily rate: £365.73PD - PAYE
Location: Fully Remote
Client: Technology Corporation
Engagement Method: PAYE

Trust in SODA have partnered with a multinational technology corporation company, who are looking for a Senior Live Service Engineer to join them on a 12-month project.

Job Description:
As a member of our Live Services team, you would be delivering high-quality tested services to support the clients current and future games, along with developing and improving our platform. We develop all our new services with .NET and use highly scalable databases like Azure Cosmos DB. We're looking for someone to learn both from and with us, and to take an active role in the improvement of engineering.

Being a central team, we work across the breadth of the client, supporting and collaborating with other teams around the studio while building out scalable solutions for use by live games.

As a first-party studio serving millions of players every month, our services are a key part of the live functioning of these games and at the cutting edge of the Azure technology stack.

Our engineer's agency to solve problems creatively and in their own way, while minimising technical debt and avoiding maintenance hazards. Be part of the client's culture. Be inquisitive, try things out and help those around you become even better.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Solid grounding and experience in C#.
Familiarity with automated build, test, and deployment pipelines.
Writing tests and testable code is a key element to our approach, so experience here is essential.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
Our team gets excited about code - if you've contributed to OSS, developed your own apps, services, games or anything else, we'd love to see examples!

As part of our team, you would work on modern release pipelines, so experience (or awareness) in CI/CD (Octopus Deploy/Azure DevOps/TeamCity) would be useful. And since our team deals with designing, building, and operating highly available and scalable microservices, knowledge or experience in this area would be a plus.
