Test Automation Engineer
Location: Galway, Ireland
Rate: 350-375/day
Length: 12months
Trust in Soda is seeking talented Test Automation Engineers to join our team in Galway, working on a high-profile project for a leading financial services client.
About the Role:
As a Test Automation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our client's software applications. You will be responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining robust test automation frameworks and scripts. Your expertise in Java programming and automation tools will be essential in driving test automation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute complex test automation scripts using Java and tools like Selenium, FitNesse, and UFT.
- Build and maintain automation frameworks that are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with best practices.
- Collaborate closely with development and QA teams to understand requirements and develop effective test strategies.
- Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and contribute to the overall testing process.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with the development team to resolve issues.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest testing methodologies and technologies.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong Java programming skills and experience with J2EE, Hibernate, JUnit, Spring Frameworks, Web Services, Oracle, and SQL.
- In-depth knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks (Selenium WebDriver, UFT/QTP, FitNesse, Jenkins).
- Experience in developing end-to-end test automation solutions for large-scale enterprise systems.
- Strong understanding of database concepts and SQL.
- Proven ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Hands-on experience with ATDD/TDD methodologies.
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Delivery (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins, Maven, and UDeploy.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
