They are quite flexible when it comes to hours, if you need to leave early on a Friday for example it’s not an issue. Hours are around 37.5 a week.

The role:

The role

You will act as the voice of the customers and continuously be improving their needs and experience. They are leading customisation platform for the lifestyle industry, connecting consumer choices to manufacturing, directly and automated. We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer or Linux Sys Admin, Systems Engineer that wants to learn/transition to a more DevOps approach. Ideally, you will care about what good looks like and how that empowers the development team. You need to be able to navigate the trade-offs of time constraints and team requirements.

It is vital you are comfortable discussing your ideas with those around you, we believe that done is better than perfect. The infrastructure is Docker run in an AWS environment, which comes with specific scaling and security challenges that'll need solving.

There is room to learn about current best practices and apply that. They know what direction we want to go in, we'll need your help getting there.

In the next 12 months you will:

  • Focus on helping us build upon our Docker infrastructure running in AWS
  • Collaborate with our Python and JavaScript engineers to increase productivity, investigate issues and share creative ideas around optimising CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with the team and make a positive difference through your work, both sharing and learning from each other.
